Jenkins Amongst YouthBuild Philly Honorees Committed to Excellence, Perseverance and Respect

On May 2, 2019, YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School will be hosting its 9th annual fundraiser, #GrowYB, at the HIVE at Spring Point (30 S. 15th St. in Center City).  All funds raised at the event go directly to supporting the mission of YouthBuild Philly — which empowers young adults (18 to 20 years old) to develop skills and connect to opportunities by fostering an environment of love, support, and respect for their whole person.

Students graduate high school and successfully transition to college and career as critically conscious leaders, committed to positive change for themselves and their communities. With this support, students go onto pursue post-secondary education, start careers, build their own businesses and give back to their community.

YouthBuild Philly will honor three community members committed to the school’s core values of Excellence, Perseverance and Respect: Ameen Akbar (YouthBuild Philly), Wendell Holland (Survivor: Ghost Island) and, via video, Malcolm Jenkins (Philadelphia Eagles).
