The holiday season is a time for joy, togetherness, and giving—and this year’s Holiday Dinner Basket Surprise (HDBS) was a shining example of the power of community and compassion. On December 13, 2024, The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation (TMJF) hosted its annual HDBS event at West Philadelphia High School, bringing festive cheer and much-needed support to 280 families in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our partners and volunteers, each family received a carefully curated holiday meal basket, complete with a turkey, all the trimmings, and essential ingredients for a memorable feast. Children aged 0-13 were treated to age-appropriate gifts, bringing extra joy to the season.

The event was a flurry of activity and holiday spirit as volunteers packed baskets, sorted gifts, and distributed them with care. Students from West Philadelphia High School joined as volunteers, earning service hours while learning the value of giving back to their community. Their enthusiasm and dedication were truly inspiring.
