The Super Bowl Gospel Celebration began in Miami in 1999 and in 2002 became, and remains, the ONLY concert sanctioned by the National Football League.

This year’s Gospel Celebration is hosted by the Emmy Award WinningSherri Shepherd, and seven-time Grammy recipient Kirk Franklin. With Fantasia headlining, other performers will include Donnie McClurkinMarvin Winans,Bishop Paul S. Morton and Christian hip-hop artist, Lecrae, this year’s NFL “Players’ Choice”.  In addition to this great line-up, there will also be a performance by the NFL Players’ Choir! Comprised entirely of former and current players, Hall of Famer’s and Pro Bowler’s, this 40 member choir is celebrating it’s 6th year anniversary and is under the direction of Donnie McClurkin and Myron ButlerThe NFL Players’ Choir was formed by several Christian players who wanted to share their faith through their musical talents in song, and in turn offers fans an opportunity to see a very personal side of some of their favorites off the field.

As the first and only gospel concert sanctioned by the National Football League (NFL), it is the only place you will see the NFL Players Choir. The celebration is the only inspirational music concert that has aired on ESPN, and has been named by USA Today as “One of the Best Super Bowl Events to Attend.” Every year the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration has donated a portion of its proceeds and over 4,000 tickets to local and national charities. This year, being in New Orleans, the benefactors are The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation, founded by Malcolm Jenkins of the New Orleans Saints, and The Sharper Kids Foundation, founded by brothers Darren andJamie Sharper, of the Saints and Seahawks, respectively.
