College Track New Orleans, in partnership with The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation, is hosting a College and Career Event for 150 New Orleans area high school scholars on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 and Wednesday, April 10, 2019. The purpose of this event is to connect 9-12th grade scholars with local professionals and organizations related to their expressed career interests. We have identified scholar interest in your particular career field and as such, we invite you to partner with us for this event by serving as a guest speaker or panelist (April 9), or round table discussion host (April 10) and sharing your story of your career journey with scholars. We also invite you, if available, to set up a partnership table at our “Network and Chill” hour from 5:45-6:45 pm on April 10 to connect with students and families interested in learning more about your organization.
The attached announcement outlines the details of the event, as well as the proposed details of commitment from potential partners. We are asking that professionals commit to attending at least one day of the event from 4:00pm-7:00pm. If you are interested in serving as a partner and are able to commit to connecting with our scholars, please RSVP with your availability via email to email@example.com by March 29, 2019.
We look forward to partnering with you to empower our scholars to not only pursue post- secondary education, but to explore diverse career fields and opportunities which may help to effectuate positive change in their lives.
